Testing Methodology
Testing is documented so readers can understand the conditions behind a result and reproduce the same workflow where practical.
Environment
For software checks we record the Windows edition/build when relevant, FurMark version, GPU model, graphics driver, display resolution and test settings. Hardware-specific conclusions are not generalized to every GPU.
Installation and launch
We check the normal installation or launch path, basic interface behavior and whether the tested workflow completes without an obvious application error.
Stress-test observations
When discussing GPU load we consider test duration, resolution, API/settings, temperature, hotspot temperature when exposed by the hardware, clock behavior, fan response and power behavior. A single sensor is not treated as a complete diagnosis.
Troubleshooting
Diagnostic guides start from a stable baseline and change one meaningful variable at a time. Findings from FurMark should be confirmed with another relevant workload before concluding that hardware is defective.
Safety
Tests are stopped when persistent artifacts, repeated driver resets, freezes, abnormal cooling behavior or uncontrolled temperature rise occurs. Manufacturer limits for the exact hardware take precedence over generic thresholds.
